Financial literacy empowers others to take control over their financial futures. These tools can be used to build a strong foundation for people to live the American dream. Paying down debt, avoiding predatory lenders and increasing credit scores enable people to buy houses and create a life of
security and prosperity.
People who have their own needs met are also better positioned to help others in their own families and in their communities. They can even extend to other countries through donations to non-profits and investments in international economic efforts as well.
Research has shown that communities that have residential property owners have an increased stake in how those communities are developed. Voter registration increases, PTA and school board meetings all become important to people who finally get a seat at the table, for as the saying goes if you don't have a seat at the table, YOU are on the menu! These initiatives can have a ripple effect that immediately impacts the person who attends the classes,, but also changes the lives of entire families for generations to come. Int this way, our efforts have the ability to change the world.
